Drug LitigationCelexa and Neural Tube Defect Risk

October 10, 2012

Last year, a report in a respected medical journal concluded that Celexa (citalopram) may increase the risk that pregnant Celexa patients may inadvertently exposure their child to an elevated risk of neural tube birth defects. This elevated risk is particularly high during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Have you or a loved one given birth to a child who suffered a birth defect such as spina bifida, autism, or a heart condition like persistent pulmonary hypertension (PPHN)? If the infant’s mother took Celexa during pregnancy, this may not simply be a medical situation, but a legal issue as well. For many people suffering from the legacy of a child’s birth defect, it is important to learn as much as possible about what happened, why it happened, and how people in your position might respond.

The attorneys and dedicated professionals have helped victims like you. We know how to contextualize what happened and offer a perspective that can help inform your decision-making. Ready to learn more about how we might be able to advise you?
