Drug LitigationFDA Warns of Connection between Prozac and PPHN

April 10, 2012

Persistent pulmonary hypertension (PPHN) is a serious, life-threatening neonatal lung condition that kills 20 percent of PPHN patients, despite recent advances in treatment. One cause of this painful, potentially fatal birth defect is fetal exposure to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as Prozac (fluoxetine).

Was your child exposed to an SSRI such as Prozac during your pregnancy? Tragically, thousands of children are exposed to antidepressants every year that put them at risk of serious injuries such as PPHN and a variety of heart, lung, and brain defects.

Injured children and their parents need a full-throated defense of their legal rights. Fortunately, the attorneys at Nachawati Law Group are prepared to fight for you and your family. With years of experience and dedicated expertise, we know how to protect your interests in a court of law. We’re ready to fight for you!
