Since 1992, major drug manufactures have produced and sold prescription antidepressants like Paxil (paroxetine). These drugs, commonly called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), are used to treat major depression, panic disorder, social anxiety, PTSD, and OCD, among other conditions.
