Dori Persky Tesser is a valuable asset to Nachawati Law Group’s Public Entity Litigation division, where she brings almost 10 years of experience in complex product liability litigation in Washington D.C. 

During her time at Baron & Budd, P.C., in Washington D.C., she developed case theories for opioid litigation on behalf of state, city, and county district attorneys. She has fought on behalf of plaintiffs, fighting against the negligent practices by large corporations such as Cardinal Health, Inc., CVS Health Corp., and Walgreens. Dori has briefed, argued and won discovery and pretrial motions on groundbreaking legal issues such as the Drug Dealer Act (DDLA) and apex doctrine. 

Dori earned her Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law, cum laude. Prior to attending law school, she graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in European studies, with minors in corporate strategy and art history.

  • State ex rel. Dana Nessel v. Cardinal Health, Inc. et al., Wayne Cty. No. 19-016896-NZ. Represented the State of Michigan against opioid dispensing defendants.
  • United States of America ex rel. Ellsworth Assoc., LLC v. CVS Health Corp., et al., U.S.D.C. E.D. Pa., Civil Action No. 19-2553. Represented a whistleblower client in a qui tam action against CVS Health Corp. and SilverScript Insurance Co. in claims brought under the False Claims Act.
