Amy began working for Nachawati Law Group in 2019 at which time she managed the pre-litigation department.  After a brief hiatus, Amy returned to manage the mass tort department giving her the opportunity to oversee the process from intake to settlement.

Amy Shahan has over 20 years of experience representing clients who have been harmed by defective products and dangerous pharmaceuticals.  Amy earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law where she served on the Baylor Law Review.  Upon graduation, Amy served as a law clerk for the Honorable Tom James (Ret.) of the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas, Texas.

After clerking, Amy immediately ventured into the mass tort arena by accepting a position at Baron & Budd where she briefed substantive trial court motions and responses and litigated claims on behalf of clients harmed by asbestos and the diet drug Fen-Phen.  Amy took a brief break from the practice of mass torts at which time she focused on family, probate, and personal injury claims.  Amy returned to the mass tort arena, however, as her passion is to represent injured victims.
