Fears Nachawati Donates to Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program Endowment

Fears Nachawati has been recognized by the Dallas Bar Association for its $50,000 donation to the Justice Forever Fund. The fund is the endowment of the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, which, according to former DBA president Michael Hurst, was created to support “justice for all people, for all times.”

The DVAP was founded in 1997 as a joint initiative of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of Northwest Texas to consolidate and streamline the pro bono operations of each organization. In the years since, it has become the largest provider of free legal aid to low-income members of the Dallas community, training more than 3,000 volunteer attorneys annually.

“The American civil justice system provides critical protections for citizens by leveling the playing field against even the most powerful interests, and the most important thing we as attorneys can do is to support the efforts of legal aid programs,” said Fears Nachawati partner and co-founder Majed Nachawati. “We are honored to be able to help provide vital funding for the DVAP in its efforts to provide access to the justice system for more Dallas County residents.”
