SawStop is a finger saving, hand loving invention which protects human flesh from being cut by the sharp blades of the table saw. This invention has been available for more than 10 years. However, as amazing as this new technology is, some companies have refused to incorporate this new technology into their saws—claiming it is too expensive. Thousands of US citizens each year fall victim to this common but often dangerous product; these injuries can have long lasting detrimental effects, causing severe injuries. Carlos Osorio was just one of many victims of the table saw. While using the Ryobi table saw, Osorio’s hand slipped while cutting along a piece of hardwood flooring.
