For a woman taking Yaz or Yasmin, the risk of developing a blood clot is 3 in 10,000, much higher than the 1 in 10,000 chance that is associated with taking older birth control pills. With these increased chances, it’s no wonder that Katelynne’s mother is speaking out. She believes her daughter was not properly informed about the greater risks that Yaz carries.
