Fears Nachawati’s Jonathan Novak Featured in AP News Story About Purdue Pharma’s Landmark Opioid Settlement

Following the announcement that OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma had reached a landmark settlement with the state of Oklahoma for damages caused by opioid addition, the Associated Press spoke with Fears Nachawati trial lawyer Jonathan Novak about the significance of the settlement. The $270 million settlement includes funding for an opioid addiction treatment center at Oklahoma State University and resources for local governments dealing with widespread damages caused after drugmakers flooded communities with highly addictive opioid painkillers.
